Tom Henry Racing introduces "THR Exhaust"
Components for the 2010 Camaro

With the 2010, fifth-generation, Camaro finally hitting the streets, hot rodders, tuners and parts manufacturers have been rushing to bring high-performance parts and accessories for America's iconic sports coupe to market. Camaro specialist, Tom Henry Racing, introduced some of the first aftermarket exhaust components for 2010 Camaro SSes with 6.2-liter LS3 and L99 engines. Released in May of 2009, THR has available two sets of long-tube headers and a pair of "cat-back" exhaust systems.

The headers are made from 304 stainless steel. Two primary pipe sizes, 1.875" and 2.0", are available. Generally, 1.875 is for street high-performance engines where are stock or mildly modified. The two-inch pipes are for seriously-modified engines with superchargers, turbos or nitrous oxide systems, in street or race applications.

Header flanges are laser-cut, 3/8-inch thick stainless steel. All bends are done on computer-numeric-control (CNC), mandrel-type tube benders. Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding is used to throughout their manufacturing. The headers are designed to accept THR's high-flow, metal-matrix catalytic converters or, for off-highway racetrack use only, a pair of 3" head pipes.

The Tom Henry Racing exhaust system for Camaro SSes is available in two configurations, one for engines with stock exhaust manifolds and another for use with THR Headers. Both are made from big-bore, free-flowing, three-inch diameter, seamless, 304 stainless steel, tube stock. All curved pipes are mandrel-bent on CNC tube bending equipment. Both systems include an X-pipe. Either of these exhaust systems have three mufflers are available. From loudest to quietest, they are: 3-inch inlet/outlet with internal perforated S-pipe, 2.5-in. in/out with  perforated S-pipe and chambered.

Both Tom Henry Racing Camaro exhausts come with four-inch, slash-cut, polished stainless steel tips. Stainless steel Accuseal clamps and 1/2" wire hangers are included.

The Tom Henry Racing exhaust system can add up to seven horsepower with no special tuning. The combination of THR headers and exhaust system can add up to 26 rear wheel horsepower with no special tuning required. The combination of Tom Henry Racing headers and exhaust take about fifty pounds off a 2010 Camaro SS by replacing the cast iron exhaust manifolds and the heavy, production exhaust system.

The sound, once these exhaust systems are installed, is described as loud when you've got your foot on the gas, driving hard, but quiet, with minimal "drone" or "resonance," when you've just driving around town.

The prices for the THR Exhaust products for the 2010 Camaro SSes are:

         Exhaust system: $1190.00

         Headers with catalytic converters: $1450.00

Prices do not include shipping or installation.
