THR PARTS:

The THR/Comp cam packages for Tom Henry Racing Camaros use specific cam profiles selected by the engine shop at Tom Henry Racing and are manufactured by Comp Cams. THR/Comp cams use the stock valve lifters. The same part is used in the 7100 rpm LS7 Corvette engine, so there's no need to change. The stock rocker arms are also retained. These more aggressive cams do require a change in valve springs. THR's cam for supercharged engines with manual transmissions has .610/.617-in. lift and 223/231° duration at .050-in. lift. Supercharged automatic transmissions get a cam with .606/.620-in. lift and 219/235° duration. THR also offers a cam for non-supercharged V8s and it spec's at: .613/.623-in valve lift and 227°/243° duration.

 

The Tom Henry Racing Supercharger, uses the same Eaton TVS R2300 supercharger core, featuring four-lobe, high-helix rotors, which GM uses on the LS9 in 2009-2013 Corvette ZR1s. THR packages the Eaton blower with its own housing, supercharger drive assembly, charge air cooler and intake manifold. Tom Henry Racing Camaros with supercharged V8/six-speed powertrains produce approximately 575-hp@6300 rpm. Cars with superchargers and automatics produce about 550-hp.

 

 

The Tom Henry Racing Camaro cat-back exhaust is available in two configurations, to fit LS3 and L99 V8s with THR Headers and to fit LS3 and L99 V8s with stock exhaust manifolds. THR cat-back exhausts do not fit LSA engines in ZL1s. The THR cat-back has an X-pipe built into it. Three mufflers are available. From loudest to quietest, they are: 1) 3-inch inlet/outlet with an internal, perforated S-pipe, 2) 3.0-in. in/out with a 2.5-in diameter internal perforated S-pipe and 3) chambered. All THR mufflers are manufactured from stainless steel.

 

THR Camaro headers are made from 304 stainless steel and are available for either LS3, L99 engines or supercharged LSA engines. Two primary pipe sizes, 1.875" and 2.0", are available. Generally, 1.875 is for street high-performance engines where are stock or mildly modified. The two-inch primaries are for highly-modified engines with superchargers, turbos or nitrous oxide systems, in street or race applications. Header flanges are laser-cut, 3/8-inch thick stainless steel. All bends are done on computer-numeric-control (CNC), mandrel-type tube benders. Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding is used to throughout their manufacturing. The headers are designed to accept THR's high-flow, metal-matrix catalytic converters or, for off-highway racetrack use only, a pair of 3-in. head pipes. Header sets for the supercharged LSA engine come with adapters to connect to the dual-mode exhaust system used on the ZL1.

 


 

Tom Henry Racing Camaro mufflers are a simple and cost-effective way to personalize a Camaro. They will change a 5th Gen's exhaust sound and may improve performance. Three mufflers are available. From loudest to quietest, they are: 1) 3-inch inlet/outlet with and internal, perforated S-pipe, 2) 3.0-in. in/out with a 2.5-in diameter internal perforated S-pipe and 3) chambered. All THR mufflers are manufactured from stainless steel.

 


 

Tom Henry Racing Camaros are available with one of two wheel styles. The base THR Camaro wheel, shown at right, is an American Racing Torque Thrust M wheel. It's a classic, five-spoke design. The THR American wheels are one-piece aluminum castings and are available in three finishes, black, anthracite or chrome. Their sizes are 20x8.5-in., front and 20x10-in, rear.

 


 

The uplevel THR Camaro Wheel is a BBS CH-R. These wheels have pressure-cast aluminum centers and flow-formed rims, a manufacturing process which, for a given wheel size, offers increased strength and reduced weight. The BBSes used on Tom Henry Racing Camaros are available in three finish styles, black satin, titanium satin and bright silver. All three wheels come with with a polished stainless steel lip insert which can be replaced if damaged by curb impact. The THR Camaro BBS sizes are 20x9-in., front and 20x10.5-in, rear.

 

Tom Henry Racing Camaros can be equipped with CNC-ported cylinder heads. These THR LS3 heads are capable of about 10% more intake flow than a stock Camaro LS3/L99 cylinder head. They are made of 315-T6 aluminum. The intake and exhaust ports are CNC-ported. They have 2.165-in. hollow stem intake valves and 1.59-in. stainless steel, solid-stem exhausts. These THR heads accept stock or aftermarket roller rocker arms and support up to .550-in. valve lift.

 

THR Camaros can be equipped with Pedders Suspension components. To increase roll stiffness and improve cornering power, the Pedders stabilizer bar kit uses larger-than-stock diameter bars (27-mm front and 32-mm rear) and specially-designed, spherical bearing links. All Pedders stabilizer bars are red powder-coated for enhanced appearance and corrosion resistance.

 

THR Camaros, both coupes and convertibles, can, also, be fitted with Pedders Suspension's coil springs. The higher-than-stock spring rates improve handing and lower ride height. Because of a convertible's additional weight, there are specific Pedders springs having different spring rates for convertibles. These springs lower the car 1.3-in. at the front and 1.5-in. at the rear. Pedders springs are red powder-coated for enhanced appearance and corrosion resistance.

 

Exclusive to Tom Henry Racing Camaros is the THR Caliper Cover option. It consists of four THR signature brake caliper covers which can be painted or powder-coated just about any color a THR Camaro customer may want.

 

THR Camaros with either V6 or V8 engines along with V8s equipped with the THR/Edelbrock E-Force supercharger can be fitted with the Rotofab cold air intake (CAI) system. Rotofab CAI's are engineered to keep engine and radiator heat away from your air filter. The stock MAF sensor is transferred to a molded air box adapter tube which has a large, six-inch filter mounting flange. The inlet elbow is available in cross-link plastic, polished or painted stainless steel or with a carbon fiber 'hydragraphics" finish. The silicone hoses and the air box are available in a variety of colors. The Rotofab airbox shown here was installed on 2012 THR Camaro serial number 007 and features the carbon fiber finish.

 

THR offers both chrome or satin black quarter vents which are a tasteful accent for the rear quarter panel of any 5G Camaro. The vent sets are machined from billet aluminum and are adhesive backed. The adhesive is OE quality so it will last the life of your car. The two center gills in each set are stamped with the Chevrolet bow-tie logo.

 

Tom Henry Racing stainless steel rectangular exhaust outlets give that THR look to any 5th Gen. These T-304 stainless tips are made for Tom Henry Racing by MBRP Performance Exhaust. They use a heavy-duty, clampless attachment system, are polished to a mirror finish and, by virtue of their stainless steel construction, will never rust.

 

.On a Fifth-Generation Camaro, when the hood is open, the engine cover is the central visual cue. The Tom Henry Racing custom engine cover for Camaros starts as a stock V6 or V8 engine cover which is removed, cleaned, primed and painted any color a customer desires. Additionally, for extra cost, a THR engine cover can be treated with two-tone paint, stripes or other graphics a THR customer may want. The custom engine cover is not available with the THR E-Force Supercharger.

 

 

The THR custom-made car cover is made for Tom Henry Racing by one of the top car cover manufacturers in the industry, the California Car Cover Company. Starting with the Tom Henry SS 4th Gen Camaros of 2001/2002, continuing with the THR Supercharged Silverado pick-ups of mid-last-decade and now with the Tom Henry Racing Camaro, THR has always relied on CCC for its custom-made covers. All THR covers are heavy-duty, two-layer, indoor/outdoor designs with an outer fabric layer of 100% cotton and an inner layer of flannel. The cover is custom-fitted to a 2010-2013 Camaro Coupe, Convertible or ZL1 and is custom-embroidered with the Tom Henry Racing logo.

 


 

The highly-regarded, MGW Short Throw Shifter is available as an option on any Tom Henry Racing Camaro or as a stand-alone aftermarket purchase. The MGW shortens the shift throw but also corrects the rubbery feel of the stock shifter mounting system and the insufficient spring return which causes missed, 2-3 upshifts. It achieves a optimal combination of shift effort, speed, and smoothness with a 33 percent shorter shift throw. The MGW Shifter is a replacement assembly, not simply a center shaft change. It has an integral spring return to the 3-4 gate to assist in fast 2-3 powershifts and smooth 5-4 downshifts. It uses polyurethane mount bushings eliminate deflection. All components are CNC machined. Materials are either type-3, hard-coat-anodized aluminum or 303, aircraft-grade stainless steel. This shifter accepts the stock shifter knob as well as MGW Race Knobs and Gripper Knobs which are available separately

 

Tom Henry Racing Camaros can be fitted with a three-piece ground effects kit consisting of a front splitter (far left), side skirts (center) and a rear fascia extension molding (below). The splitter and skirts can be painted any color the owner desires. The fascia extension is black.

     

THR Camaros can be ordered with one of two rear deck spoilers. At left is the "Blade" spoiler which is a three-piece installation reminiscent of the spoiler popularized by the 3rd Gen, 70-81 Camaros. The other spoiler for Tom Henry Racing Camaros is a classic "High-Wing" design. Both are available in just about any color a THR Camaro owner desires.

 

 

"Tail Plates" can be installed between THR Camaro's tail lamp assemblies. Tom Henry Racing Camaros can be built with a variety of Custom Tail Plate styles to suit most any owner's taste: Gold bow-tie, blue bow-tie, red bow-tie on a white, silver or black Tail Plate are available




 

 

 

 

Tom Henry Racing offers a number of Stripe Packages for Camaros. Above are three different side stripe combinations. Below are a few choices in hood or deck lid stripes. All stripes for Tom Henry Racing Camaros are not tape, wraps or stickers. They are custom painted in place by the bodywork experts at the Tom Henry Chevrolet Body Shop. Almost any color a THR Camaro owner wants is available. Additionally, a variety of stripe designs beyond what is pictured above are available. 

 


 

Besides stock Chevrolet colors, Tom Henry Racing Camaros can be ordered with custom paint jobs in just about any color an owner desires. The exterior finish experts at the Tom Henry Chevrolet Bodyshop will work with you to design a paint scheme for your THR Camaro which is limited only by your imagination.

   
 

 

Tom Henry Racing's LED side marker lights for Camaros are made by a top manufacturer of aftermarket,  light emitting diode products, Oracle Lighting. The THR/Oracle LED units are complete side marker replacements fitted with powerful 3528 Bridgelux LEDs that produce a laser-like appearance. Tom Henry Racing Camaro owners can order them with clear or tinted lenses. The outer perimeter of the light can be painted to match any factory color


 
 




 

THR also has footwell accent lighting kits available for 5th Gen Camaros. Footwell lighting are specific lengths of Oracle Flexible LED Strips, available in a variety of colors which give off a brilliant LED accent illumination. Tom Henry Racing/Oracle LED strips come with a self-adhesive 3M backing installed for ease of installation and these amazing strips are extremely efficient and draw very little power. Besides in the footwells, these strips can be placed just about anywhere that the laws of physics allow. The footwell kit includes two 15" waterproof and flexible LED strips along with self-adhesive tape for easy installation. THR/Oracle footwell lighting is available in White, Blue, Green, Red, Pink, Purple and Amber.

 

Any Tom Henry Racing Camaro can be ordered with a custom ECM calibration done by a top aftermarket tuner on a chassis dynamometer. "Custom tuning" optimizes the engine computer's fuel and spark delivery to match the needs of what ever modifications a THR Camaro owner has specified. Custom tuning is suggested if headers and a low-restriction exhaust are installed. It is required with any aftermarket camshaft installation or with the THR E-Force Supercharger. The dyno graph below is for the green car at left.
